Why Zimbabwe is special
Zimbabwe is one of our favorite countries, if one is not, but Zimbabwe is special, its people make this country a place to return to and always return to, without getting tired of spending days in its wonders.
The best known are undoubtedly the renowned Victoria Falls, one of the most important and largest in the world, they offer their moment of maximum splendor between June and August, when they should carry more water.
The fauna of Zimbabwe does not leave anyone indifferent, it is the 2nd country in the world with the largest population of elephants, one of those with the most wild dogs, it has large herds of buffalo and a large number of cats.
The best known national park is Hwange, but it has other gems to discover such as Mana Pools, a place of magical light with an exuberant fauna, the paintings of Matopos, the immense Lake Kariba with landscapes that will take your breath away, the ruins of the Gran Zimbabwe, a small part of human history and for the most expert in safaris, the Gonarezhou National Park, where you will do unique walking safaris.
Accommodations in Zimbabwe are highest level, thus being the service and experience of its guides, possibly the best on the continent.
Zimbabwe is for all types of travelers, alone, romantic travel, family, with friends, etc. They can do walking safaris, kayaking on the Zambezi River, helicopter flight over the falls, a romantic cruise, rhinoceros tracking, bungee jumping, rafting or simply enjoy the sunset on the terrace of the safari tent.
When to travel to Zimbabwe
In general, Zimbabwe is a year-round destination, but keep in mind:
August to November is the dry season and one of the best times to travel to Zimbabwe, being able to enjoy a lot of fauna.
December to April, is the time of rain, more humidity and storms. The rains offer interesting lights and beautiful landscapes.
May to July are the coldest months and also when everything is green and it doesn't usually rain.
May to October are the best times to see large herds of elephants.
June to August wild dogs usually give birth and it is easier to see young.
