Gabon Expeditions
Why Gabon is special
Gabon is one of the last great wilderness sanctuaries on the planet. In Loango National Park, where the purest rainforest meets pristine beaches and remote lagoons, nature reveals itself as it was thousands of years ago. Here, some of the most untouched forests in Central Africa survive, unspoiled landscapes that endure as biological treasures and refuges for extraordinary wildlife: forest elephants walking on the sand, western gorillas among impenetrable thickets, buffalo, sitatungas, great apes, and an explosion of life difficult to imagine until witnessed.
Exploring Loango is a profound, intense, almost primal experience. Each expedition demands attention to detail, meticulous planning, and complex logistics. Unlike other more established destinations, nothing here is simple: the transfers, the access routes, the weather, the tides, the rhythms of the jungle. But that very challenge is part of its magic. Traveling to Gabon means venturing into a territory where nature reigns supreme, where each day offers unexpected discoveries, and where feeling like an explorer is inevitable.
Those who come to Loango aren't looking for a conventional safari, but rather an authentic connection with one of the world's most pristine ecosystems. It's a destination for curious spirits, wildlife lovers, and travelers who want to be part of something unique: real, profound, and transformative expeditions in a corner of the planet that still holds the mystery and grandeur of the wild.

When to travel to Gabon
The best time to travel to Gabon is the dry season (June–September), when there is less rain, the roads are more accessible, and it is more comfortable to explore the forests and lagoons, with excellent observation of primates and birds.
The rainy season (October–May) transforms Loango: this is when the presence of forest elephants, buffalo, and even hippos on the beach increases, creating one of the country's most iconic scenes. The jungle is at its most vibrant, although logistics become more demanding, adding an authentic and adventurous element to the experience.
